No, I did not shoot my baby, even though that’s one of my favorite Neil Young songs. Instead, I walked my dog and enjoyed being home, after two weeks away. The trees had changed color in that time, and the sun is even lower in the sky, creating an effect that filmmakers know as golden hour, except that in winter it lasts nearly all day long.
