The Blue Door

Found out last week I didn’t get a big job I had bid on. It was a campaign for a large insurance firm. It would have been fun and lucrative, and my day took a distinct downward turn when I got the email from the creative director. But as I floundered about in my dismay, I managed to remember something my dad always told me. I suppose it’s a phrase all fathers tell their sons, and mothers their daughters and good friends each other; the one about one door closing and another opening. And sometimes it happens just that way. Exactly one day later we confirmed a campaign for a client that, for the moment, must go unnamed. Suffice it to say, however, that green more than makes up for blue.
